Teri Paris
Chanteuse
Teri says she is "An artist who tries to bring a little joy into peoples lives."
Entertainer, Facepainter, Dog Fancier
NYC nightlife forged the Paris persona. She was a headliner in NYC Clubs from 70’s to the 90’s. The Blue Angel, La Vie En Rose, The Club Ibis, La Cages, Studio 54, The Limelight, The Palladium, the list goes on. During this period Paris honed her art as an impressionist or as she fondly called herself a female female impersonator. Her main impressions were Garland, Minnelli, and Piaf. She often worked as the only female in an all male revue, the first of her kind, and really brought the art of drag style impersonation to a new level. She did her Broadway turn as Edith Piaf in the 80’s show the Alcazar at the Nederlander Theatre . When the big club era ended for her, she began doing her own nightclub act and joined a performance company called Le Clique, performing all over the world at special events.
Teri is currently retired (ha!), living in the Catskills with her beloved Tibetan Spaniels and enjoying a new side of the biz, Jazz via the Great American Songbook . Whether singing in French, which is a large part of her repertoire, or English, Paris brings her own brand of drama and humor to her work. Look for her in Hudson Valley Venues.
